The Challenge

Why YouthUp Global Exists

Africa is home to the world’s fastest-growing youth population, yet millions of young people remain unemployed or underemployed due to skills gaps, limited work experience, and lack of access to opportunity.
YouthUp Global exists to close this gap—by developing Africa’s human capital.

By 2050, Africa will have 25% of the world’s population.

One-third of the world’s youth (ages 15–24) will live in Africa.

Who We Are

Youthup Global operates a hybrid model, combining not-for-profit and for-profit approaches to build sustainable human capital systems across Africa.

We don’t run isolated programs. We build connected systems that move youth from learning to earning.

Our Philosophy

The Power of Youthconomics

At the core of our work is Youthconomics, our philosophy that investing in the human capital of youth is the most sustainable pathway to Africa’s economic transformation.

By equipping young Africans with skills, experience, and access to opportunity, we are not just empowering individuals, we are building the workforce systems that drive long-term economic growth.
