Appointment Announcement

Gathoni Kungu resumed today as YouthUp Director of Training and Development while retaining her position as YouthUp East Africa Coordinator.

Before her recent appointment, she was the Country lead for Kenya and East Africa Coordinator.

Gathoni is a media practitioner with extensive knowledge in producing content for TV, Film, Documentary & Radio.

She has over 10 years of experience as a Director at the Kenya Film Classification Board, A state corporation that is mandated to regulate the Film industry in Kenya.

She also has a flair for education, learning and development as well as capacity building, especially to the youths.

Gathoni will work with the leadership of the Youth Education Wing to design 21st-century global learning programs necessary to develop capacity for the YouthUp community.

The YouthUp President, Faith Nwaobia while announcing the appointment remarked that Gathoni has demonstrated a clear interest and dedication in supporting youths in East Africa which he believes she would combine with her new role.
