Primary Objectives:

The Channel Manager – DD holds the ultimate responsibility of achieving volume targets in the DD channels across all branches by managing sales tactical activities, trade marketing support, in-store execution guidelines and merchandising function across all groceries and HTS, by leading the distributor channel team to achieving company objectives.


  • Drive DD channels market development at customer level using company provided resources and tools including but not restricted to; Business Development Agreements, distribution drives, Quarterly business reviews and liquidation plans.
  • Ensure 100% implementation of monthly activities, tailormade activity & NPD launch including direct sales.
  • Lead the Product yearly plan implementation until all stock liquidation in the market


  • Lead distributor team through engagement at all levels showing deep understanding of channel revenue levers and market dynamics
  • Manage daily channel operations efficiently and effectively
  • Drive channel development projects effectively and efficiently
  • Develop, coach and manage the performance of his team through influence, mentoring and process development
  • Lead quarterly and yearly business reviews by branch
  • Manage daily channel operations efficiently and effectively by close coordination with APMs, Merchandising supervisors and merchandisers.
  • Manage relationships with contracted customers by maintaining an advantageous commercial position and service level
  • Develop, coach and manage the performance of his team through influence, mentoring and process development
  • Ensure timely reporting of competitors’ activities and proposing proactive or counter measures
  • Ensuring stock accuracy by customer
  • Compile an accurate monthly sales forecast on the 15th of each month updated daily until month completion.
  • Support the Channel development manager in planning and forecasting annual commercial budget when it comes to sales volumes, activities, and costing.
  • Establish a monthly market visit plan to covering different areas and reporting any distribution gaps with an official reporting process.
  • Work closely on daily operations with distributor sales team to ensure achieving sales and other marketing objectives.
  • Work on improving merchandising function by optimizing journey routes and ensuring proper execution of all brand guidelines. Also, to monitor hand-held reports and suggest any improvement on the system in coordination with Data flow function.
  • Work closely with Marketing team on executing thematic activities by planning and executing in coordination with sales team and customers
  • Report all competition activities spotted in the market by creating monthly process with HO, also to establish monthly closing feedback on channel performance.
  • Build and promote long-lasting customer relation with top customers by partnering up through quarterly business reviews, understand their needs and establish a Win-Win relation.
  • Continuously looking for business opportunities of all natures: distribution performance, Customer opportunity, or brand activation.
  • Submitting monthly/weekly reporting package to the CDM as and when required.
  • Handling special business development projects and pilot test
