Carry out detailed design of various facilities in accordance to the end-user requirement in

accordance to international design code and specification.

2 Liaise with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the

aesthetic concept of the construction.

3 Prepare design calculation for all design works.

4 Review and ensure drawings are produce to the international standards level of acceptance.

5 Mak drawings, specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors.

6 Develop and prepare full project scope of works, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ)/Bill of

Materials (BOM), cost/budgetary estimates and tender deliverables (front-end document, etc.).

7 Gather and collect all relevant data and information, existing records and all available drawings,

previous studies, pertinent data on existing services, etc.

7 Respond to queries received from the tenderers

8 Prepare technical evaluation report for all tenders

9 Prepare or review method statement, risk assessment and mitigation plan for various construction

activity.

10 Review of any design calculation submitted by other.

11 Review of contractor submission such as material specification, material sample, method statement,

any reports, risk assessment, traffic diversion and any reports submitted by consultant or contractor

during the design and construction stage.

12 Examine structures at risk of collapse and advise how to improve their structural integrity, such as

recommending removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire structure.

13 Work with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions and analyses results of soil

sample and in situ tests.

14 Liaising with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound.

15 Attending site inspection, site quality audit.

16 Prepare simple construction programme, monitoring and progress report.

17 Implement handover process.

18 Assist preparing tender documentation, expressions of interest, tender circulars, Instruction to

Tenderer, method of measurement, post-tender clarifications.

19 Prepare tender technical evaluation report.

20 Assist in the financial negotiations of contracts when requested.

21 Participate and conduct pre-tender conferences/meetings and post-tender meetings.

22 Perform other department duties related to his position as directed by the head of the department.
