AFOMA PARTNERS WITH YOUTHUP GLOBAL TO INCENTIVIZE HER UTIDIA COMMUNITY SERVICE NETWORK

AFOMA, is a social impact organization leveraging a decentralized approach within an ecosystem designed to offer value creation for art, culture and handcrafts across the globe. AFOMA will be partnering with Youthup Global, an organization that supports and accelerates human capital development and social impact, to incentivise her members under the Utidia community service in order to empower youth in developing countries. AFOMA supports organizations that adopt a token based rewards system to drive social and corporate responsibility, activity engagement, performance and creativity through the AFOMA Partner Rewards program. With this partnership, AFOMA will offer 2 Million AFOMA Tokens (which will be equivalent to $20,000 USD) as a grant to incentivise the Utidia community service, where youth are rewarded for volunteering under YouthUp Global. “This partnership is significant in that it will drive the visions of both organizations to empower youth in developing countries” says the Founder and CEO of AFOMA, Eric Osuorah. On the other hand; With a tested and proven protocol, YouthUp Global is convinced that the Utidia concept (Utidia App) will be a sustainable model where young people will volunteer to acquire skills through apprenticeship and internship programs so as to achieve the United Nations Agenda 2030’s Sustainable Development Goals. Confirming this, is the Founder and President of YouthUp Global, Dr. Faith Nwaobia who also said: “Partnering with AFOMA and leveraging the AFOMA Partner Rewards program will serve as a great motivator for the community of volunteers joining our Utidia Community Service Network of YouthUp Global in fulfillment of the mandate of Youthup Global towards providing economic empowerment to youth in developing countries”. More than 100 YouthUp Global volunteers will benefit from this partnership. Youth empowerment in developing countries will be pivotal in addressing and solving problems associated with unemployment and skill-gap.

InnovateAfrica: #TheAfricaWeWant Campaign Calls for Partnership as She Plans To Hold Her First Youth Capacity Building in Lagos, Nigeria

Charity begins at home…🙂 That’s why we are kicking off from #Nigeria to other parts of Africa. As we launch the Innovate Africa Project…..a capacity building program to address the issues of youth unemployment in Africa. Nigeria is second to Namibia with the highest unemployment rate at 33.3 percent in Africa. Here is the truth….In any nation where young people are not productively engaged…, there’s hardly peace and patriotism towards nation building, because #unemployment has chain reactions of negative vices. An idle mind,….is a devil’s workshop. Yes. We at YouthUp Global believe that once the problem of ,#youthunemployment is reduced to the barest minimum, patriotism and nation building spirit will be restored. That’s #TheAfricaWeWantNIGERIA A #Nigeria where youths are productively engaged with sustainable employment opportunities, empowerment projects and an business enabling environment for #startups, #artisans and likes. Good people, happy to announce that we will be gathering for two days in Lagos Nigeria on October 1st and 2nd to launch the #TheAfricaWeWantNIGERIA campaign with a Symposium and a capacity building workshop in line with the #InnovateAfrica mission. Registration portal is now openhttps://lnkd.in/dHtwMTD Sponsorship packages have also been updated. Partner with us to help achieve this vision… Info@youthupglobal.com     www.youthupglobal.com

InsightAfrica: Opportunities for youths in SierraLeone

In today’s #InsightAfrica, I share about opportunities for youths in #SierraLeone Sierra Leone is a #youth population, with eight out of ten people being under 35 years old. About 41 per cent are under the age of 15 and 62.5 per cent are under 25 years old. UNDP report. Agriculture is the largest employer with 80 percent of the population working in the sector though mostly at a subsistence level. Government concentration is more on mining as it’s believed to be an easy way of generating revenue…A distraction! The biggest challenge is youth unemployment. For instance, among the young population below 35 years, 70% are #underemployed or #unemployed and 50% illiterate and unskilled. This has resulted to many young people holding on to agriculture (subsistence farming) as a means of survival. But here is the opportunity…. The youths are not just waiting for the government anymore, out of nothing, they are surviving….How much more when they are supported. Many at times that I spoke with Sierra Leone country lead Alfred Koroma for YouthUp Global, he shared insights as to opportunities in anyone willing to invest in #Agriculture in Sierra Leone. Alfred is a player in the agric sector, he’s the founder of Alpha Group. He’s constantly on the road to rural communities to organize communal farming activities to help empower the youths. We have been in discussion with the likes Rainer Tögel a seasoned agriculturist. His interest to support the continent of #Africa is immeasurable. There are discussions going on. We need more people to invest in African youths., Agriculture and #Education need to meet in Sierra Leone… If you want to discuss, I am a chat away. Info@youthupglobal.com     www.youthupglobal.com
