• Reporting to : A/Director – Infrastructure and Security

 

Job Purpose :

 

Establish secure and resilient IT infrastructure services through orchestrating the successful design and implementation of IT Security measures & standards with risk commensurate controls.

Candidate must have server-side security experience with Active directory D And Exchange.

This role will help define security architecture and deploy the best security practices.

In addition, This role will act as a backup for the Senior Systems Engineer.

 

Key Accountabilities :

 

Continuous Improvement

§ Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance performance and quality of work with a view of stakeholders’ expectations.

§ Monitor current and future security findings and incorporating technical security mitigations or remediations

§ Ensure proactive service problem management, maintenance and health checks

 

Health, Safety & Environment

§ Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance,

delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Framework, Boundaries and Decision Making Authority

§ The Security Engineer (Systems) –reports to the Assistant IT Director (Infrastructure and Security) – IT Security and confers with the latter on critical and strategic issues.

§ Key decisions having significant impact on the services are referred to the Supervisor – Assistant IT Director (Infrastructure and Security) for approval before implementation.

§ The jobholder exercises financial authority as per the level established by the management

The Security Engineer demonstrates compliance with world class service management practices such as: change management, service management and problem management

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

§ Bachelor degree in IT or similar discipline with relevant certifications.

§ ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification

 

 

Minimum Experience:

§ 10 years of hands on experience with security systems
